Membership & Activities:
The Friends of the Webster Public Library is a non-profit organization.  Our members are citizens who are dedicated to supporting the services and programs of the Webster Public Library.  Membership is open to all.  Through the years, the Friends have played a significant role in the growth of the Webster Public Library.  Public support through dedicated volunteerism and financial contributions are the heritage of this organization.

The annual membership fee is $5.00 for those 60 or older, $8.00 for individuals and families and $25 for Xerox Federal Credit Union applicants.  It is not necessary to participate in the volunteer activities of the Friends to be a member.  We welcome your financial and moral support.  Please join us to help stimulate and promote interest in the Webster Public Library.

Benefits of membership include:

  • buying books, videos, and compact discs at a library discount
  • optional opportunities to participate in various volunteer programs at the library
  • newsletters and e-mails to keep you informed about library projects and Friends activities
  • admission to the Friends Preview Sale at the annual book sale
  • invitations to the Friends annual meeting and other special events and programs
  • fellowship with other library Friends
  • satisfaction of lending support to the programs and services of your community library

To become a member of the Friends of the Webster Public Library, please complete the membership form.  Print it out and send it to the address noted at the top of the form.

Members are eligible for membership in the Xerox Federal Credit Union.  Friends also qualify for group rate memberships in the Webster Community Partnership.

Volunteering: There are opportunities for members to participate in various volunteer programs of the Friends, if they wish.  Some of our activities include an annual book sale, our lobby book sale that is open every day, and assisting library staff with programs.
